You will also be excited to hear that V2 of the MyClinic.com application is almost ready for release — along with an updated MyClinic.com website — we will be sharing this with you shortly!

The new website is designed to appeal to both business and patient-users alike and is nearly set for release.

Medicalchain CEO, Dr Abdullah Albeyatti, has begun a new YouTube channel titled The Antidote, in which he vlogs about all things health sector and innovation-related. It is a great opportunity to hear from one of the figures behind the Medicalchain vision with his honest and open opinions.

The latest videos are:

Inside Perspective

This section will provide an insight into the project, including the people behind the scenes who are working hard to make this vision a reality.

Like most tech companies, we fall short in having a good mix of staff and are working hard to encourage more women into positions available in the health tech space.

Luckily for us, we do have three women at Medicalchain and our longest serving member of them is Kornelia Koscik. We caught up with Kornelia to ask her some questions to find out more about her:

What do you do at Medicalchain?

As the Legal Associate for Medicalchain, my role is to keep an eye on legal matters in various departments of the Company. I make sure the business is run in a compliant manner, that we are aware of changes in relevant legislation and that world-wide transactions that we enter into have no negative outcomes on the business.

Also, I absolutely love reviewing and negotiating contracts, especially those for cross-border transactions!

Where’s your name from and what does it mean?

The origins of my name are to be found in Latin. It is most likely derived from the name of the Roman family Corelli. There are a lot of meanings behind the name:

“Kornelia is a smart, clever and very resourceful woman. Through life she goes with her head raised high, she is brave and confident. At the same time, she is also characterised by a cheerful disposition, kindness towards other people, curiosity about the world and sensitivity. Kornelia learns quickly (especially in languages), is well-read, mature and has a nose for people. She can quickly draw the right conclusions, is stubborn and consistent.”

As the only lawyer at Medicalchain, do you think the rest of the team understand what it is that you do?

I think we all understand to some extent what the rest of the team do at Medicalchain. Our work is highly complex, and it would not be possible to get things done correctly without having an overall view of the whole project, which is only possible by close cooperation. I find it fantastic that the whole team is genuinely interested in getting to know each other well, our strengths, our weaknesses and how we can support each other better. It is certainly a fun working environment.

How have you found working in a tech environment?

Working in a tech environment is really fun! I really enjoy being surrounded by very ambitious and kind teammates, who amaze me on a daily basis with their work ethic and achievements. We make a great team and all support each other in both our private and professional life.

The best part of working in a tech environment is that the developers can fix absolutely anything I break, it only takes them a moment and their skills usually leave me speechless.

What are your hobbies?

Oh, that’s an easy one! I think anyone who knows me can easily tell I’m a massive aviation geek. Apart from that, definitely travelling and surfing.

Have you seen the last Avengers movie? And if not, why not!?

No, I really dislike any fantasy, sci-fi or superhero movies and/or books.
